Duplicati is a free and open source backup client for securely storing your data. Duplicati stores encrypted, incremental, compressed backups on cloud storage services and remote file servers using AES-256 encryption, keeping your data safe and always updated.

It works with most storage services, including Google Cloud and Drive, Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure and OneDrive, Dropbox, FTPOpenStack Storage (Swift), SSH (SFTP), WebDAV, Tencent Cloud Object Storage (COS), and more! Duplicati also works on all major platforms (Windows, Linux and OSX).

Unlike many other backup solutions, Duplicati ensures that your data is stored securely far away and updated regularly. Incremental updates means it saves on bandwidth and storage space, with a scheduler that automatically keeps your backups up to date.

Features

  • AES-256 encryption (or GNU Privacy Guard) secures all data before uploading
  • Initial full backup uploading, followed by smaller, incremental updates that save on bandwidth and storage space
  • Scheduler for auto-updating
  • Integrated updater sends notifications on new releases
  • Encrypted backup files are transferred to targets like FTP, Cloudfiles, WebDAV, SSH (SFTP) and more
  • Allows backups of folders, document types (e.g. documents or images) or custom filter rules
  • Available as application with an easy-to-use UI and as command line tool
  • Can create proper backups of opened or locked files using the Volume Snapshot Service (VSS) under Windows or the Logical Volume Manager (LVM) under Linux
  • Filters, deletion rules, transfer and bandwidth options, etc.
