I Used to Dread Job Interviews, Until My Friend Built an AI That Actually Prepares You
For years, I’ve collaborated with my friend Alperen Avci on various projects. Whether we were brainstorming code architecture or discussing the future of software, I’ve always known him as a brilliant Computer Science student who doesn't just build apps, he builds solutions.
You might already know his work from another incredible project we discussed recently: the AI habit management app, Mind Whisper. Just as he helped tackle the chaos of ADHD and productivity in that project, he has now turned his attention to another stressful, broken system: Hiring.

We all know the struggle.
Hiring is slow and expensive. Candidates often walk into interviews feeling unprepared, or worse, they never even get in the door because their CVs are rejected by automated ATS systems before a human ever sees them. It’s a black box where candidates rarely get clear feedback.
That’s when Alperen showed me his latest creation: Interviu.

I tested the app myself, and several of our friends jumped in to try it out. It wasn’t just a generic chatbot; it felt like a complete career toolkit.
What is Interviu?
Interviu is an AI-powered platform designed to streamline the hiring process. It serves as both an interview simulation tool and an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compliant CV builder. It creates a web-based, end-to-end experience for job preparation.

Alperen's project name may look similar to the famous Intervu.ai, but it is totally going in different direction, as Alperen built for his friends, community and for education.
Here is why Interviu is a must-have for job seekers:
If you are a new graduate or a tech professional looking to level up, this platform is definitely the way to go. It combines interview simulation and CV building into one seamless experience.
- It can generate role-specific questions. Instead of generic queries, the AI analyzes your specific CV and the role you are applying for to generate targeted interview questions.
- Real feedback, not just numbers. After you answer, the AI analyzes your response and gives you a score, but more importantly, it provides clear and actionable feedback so you know exactly how to improve.
- Beat the bots with ATS-compliant CVs. Since you are, probably, going to apply to companies that use automated filters, you should try the CV builder. It creates ATS-friendly resumes in both PDF and Word formats to ensure you don't get filtered out by the system.+1
Alperen built this with a robust, scalable architecture using .NET 8 on the backend and Next.js for the frontend, all running on Docker-based infrastructure. It’s fast, responsive, and genuinely helpful.
Key Features
1. AI-Powered Interview Simulation
- Role-Specific Questions: The AI generates interview questions specifically tailored to the candidate's CV and the role they are applying for.
- Scoring & Analysis: It analyzes the candidate's answers and provides a score.
- Actionable Feedback: Beyond just a score, the system provides real, clear feedback on each answer to help the user improve.
2. Smart CV Builder
- ATS Compliance: The builder ensures CVs are designed to pass through Applicant Tracking Systems without being rejected.
- Multiple Formats: It supports exporting CVs in both PDF and Word formats.
3. Modern Technical Architecture
- The platform is built on a scalable stack including .NET 8 for the backend, Next.js for the frontend, and a Docker-based infrastructure.

Use Cases (Target Market)
The platform is designed to support several specific groups and scenarios:
- New Graduates: For students stepping into the workforce who need to practice answering professional questions.
- Junior & Mid-Level Professionals: For those looking to refine their interview skills or update their CVs for new roles.
- Tech Candidates: Specifically tailored for technical roles where specific knowledge needs to be assessed.
- Recruitment & HR: HR companies and career platforms can use this to vet or prepare their candidate pools.
